The future of diagnostic imaging

The cutting-edge Photon CT technology at Mary Elizabeth's Hospital will ensure accurate and rapid diagnostic examinations of children and adolescents.

The advanced scanner

Seriously ill children often require multiple scans, repeated anesthesia and harmful radiation. The high-tech photon CT scanner makes it possible to scan larger areas in less time with 20 times higher image resolution and far less radiation dose.

A visually calming universe during the scan creates a sense of security and calmness around both the child and parents. This makes it possible to avoid general anesthesia when the child is put to rest in a safe and calming environment.

New technology reduces risk of late effects

More than 18,000 pediatric imaging examinations are performed at Rigshospitalet every year. Scanning technology is advancing rapidly. A few years ago, high-radiation scans could lead to serious late effects such as cancer. The latest technology reduces radiation dose and delivers higher image quality in less time.

The project is financed in collaboration with Bamboh Invest.
